FAIRY MARY Radical Sheep Represents Fairy Mary in CanadaFor Immediate ReleaseToronto - January 13, 2004 Leading children's and family television producer, Radical Sheep Productions is pleased to announce an agreement with 2 Sides TV of the UK whereby Radical Sheep will represent their new animated series Fairy Mary in Canada. Marianne Culbert of Radical Sheep Productions says "Fairy Mary was one of the most exciting new properties to have been presented at the most recent Cartoon Forum in Italy. It is a unique property, one which we feel very fortunate to be representing in Canada". BAFTA nominated 2 Sides TV is the UK based rights holder of the property. Catherine Robins is managing director of 2 Sides with many years' experience as a producer and director of successful children's and factual programs. Catherine says, "We value working with Canadian partners and are looking forward to collaborating with Radical Sheep on several projects. They are a good philosophical fit for 2 Sides and the right partner for this property. We intend to produce Fairy Mary as an official co-production". Fairy Mary features Mary and Magenta, young apprentice fairies, being trained by their Fairy Queen to take care of the twins who live in their house. They can both do fairy things. They can fly and they can do magic. But as young fairies, they can only do small magic and they don't always get it right when they do. That's where the pixie Murphy comes in. He can't fly and he doesn't have a wand, but he does have a set of tools and a mending kit, so his magic often involves clearing up after the others. Mary, Magenta and Murphy are joined by a supporting cast including pencil goblins, alarm clocks and egg cups who come alive to play and learn. Fairy Mary is a 3D animated series for preschoolers (26 X 10 min.). |
